Hot Engagement Ring Trends For 2011

Choosing a brilliant engagement Ring can be a tough decision. There are many factors that play into your decision-making process. What type of cut do you want the brilliant to have? What metal do you want in the band? How many carats do you want? What is your comprehensive budget? These are all the basic questions you must ask yourself when purchasing an engagement Ring, but what else should be considered?

You'll also want to think that this engagement Ring will be a direct emblem of your connection with your hereafter spouse. It will relate your love for each other and will be something you wear every day for the rest of your life as a statement of your eternal companionship. That being said, we've seen some pretty involving trends emerge so far this year, and here are just a few of them.

Eternity Rings - With the cost of precious metals rising, that means that the price of engagement rings is rising. To combat this inflation in price, many are choosing to go with many smaller stones set on one band, rather than one large Diamond Rings - Surprisingly, this has only recently come to be a hot trend. You would think that most population would want a unique engagement ring to symbolize their unique love for their valuable other. Recently, more jewelers have made this a viable selection for couples, as far as price point goes.

Alternative Metals - Again, with the price of precious metals seemingly going up and up without an end in sight, population are seeing for alternative to the original metals. Traditional, and more common, metals are gold and platinum; however, we've seen an increase in metals like titanium. Titanium is lightweight, looks similar to platinum, and is highly durable.

Low Profile Rings - With our ever-increasingly busy lives, we have a lot more duties to deal with on a day-to-day basis, and many brides-to-be worry about their rings getting damaged because of high-profile settings (i.e. A brilliant ring that sits way up off the band). Many women are now opting for a much lower profile setting where the ring sits almost within the band itself. This allows greater flexibility and less wear and tear on the ring in the long run.

Colored Stones - Color is still on the rise ever since its major "rush" in the early 2000's (think Jennifer Lopez's canary brilliant engagement ring), and it doesn't appear to be going away any time soon. Brides in any place are trying to put a more modern, spicy twist on the old-fashioned engagement rings.
